Senior Game Day

Seniors will meet for mahjong, hand & foot and other games 5-8 p.m. at the Fuquay-Varina Community Center, 820 S. Main St.


Halloween sundae social

A free Halloween sundae social for preschoolers will be 2-3 p.m. at the Fuquay-Varina Community Center, 320 S. Main St. RSVP to 919-552-1430.


Learn about the adaptations of owls 2-3 p.m. at the American Tobacco Trail, beginning in the New Hill parking area, 1309 New Hill-Olive Chapel Road, Apex. Activities cost $5 per family; $3 per person. To register, call 919-387-2117.

Safe-N-Sane Halloween

A Safe-N-Sane Halloween Celebration will be 6-8 p.m. at Cary Towne Center, 1105 Walnut St. Dress in a costume for trick-or-treating in the mall, story telling, sing-a-longs, a magic show and a costume contest. For details, call 919-771-1295.


Turkey Time

Toddlers and parents will meet a wild turkey and make turkey crafts 10-11 a.m. at the Cypress Shelter of Harris Lake County Park, 2112 County Park Drive, New Hill. The program costs $4.

Family Fun Night

Family Fun Night will be 6-8 p.m. at Bass Lake, 900 Bass Lake Road, Holly Springs. Trish Miller, a storyteller and singer, and Dan the Magic Man will perform for kids. Bring a chair and a picnic.
