Exploring Haunted North Carolina

Triangle Paranormal Investigations and the Society of Paranormal Investigation and Research will explore haunted North Carolina with ghost-hunters and other stories of the supernatural at Wake County Public Libraries.

A discussion will be 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 28, at the Eva Perry Regional Library, 2100 Shepherd’s Vineyard Drive, Apex.

Learn about the adaptations of owls 2-3 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31, at the American Tobacco Trail, beginning in the New Hill parking area, 1309 New Hill-Olive Chapel Road.


Celebration at Cary Towne Center

A Safe-N-Sane Halloween Celebration will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31, at Cary Towne Center, 1105 Walnut St.

Dress in a costume for trick-or-treating in the mall, story telling, sing-a-longs, a magic show and a costume contest. Details: 919-771-1295.

‘Menacing Music’

The Cary Town Band will play a concert with a “Menacing Music” theme 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2 at the Cary Arts Center, 101 Dry Ave.


Spooky sundaes

A free Halloween sundae social for preschoolers will be 2 -3 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31, at the Fuquay-Varina Community Center, 320 S. Main St.
