GriefShare

GriefShare is a 13-week program for people who have lost a loved one.

Mother’s Morning Out

Tutors needed

The Kirk Outreach After-School Learning Academy seeks volunteers to help first- and second-grade students from Briarcliff Elementary School with homework one or more days per week. Family support ministry meeting

A family support ministry organized by Mary Williams-Farrington and the Pardoned by Christ Ministry will meet the second Tuesday of every month. Sisters in Support

Sisters in Support, a breast cancer support group for women who have had breast cancer or are currently undergoing treatment, meets at 7 p.m. every second Tuesday of the month at the White Plains United Methodist Church Christian Life Center, 313 SE Maynard Road, Cary. ESL classes

Westwood Baptist Church will sponsor English as a Second Language classes from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Tuesdays until Dec. 10 at 200 Westhigh St., Cary. Students can enroll at any time. The class is available in five skill levels, with an emphasis on conversation and American culture. There will be free homework help and childcare. Brown Bag Ministry

The Brown Bag Ministry, which feeds more than 1,400 people a week, is looking for middle- and high school-age volunteers. The group meets at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church in Apex about 9 a.m. Saturdays. Volunteers prepare bagged meals and hand them out in Raleigh.
