Janet Conner: A fun night in Cary

A fun night in Cary

As my husband and I ate our delicious sandwiches at Serendipity in downtown Cary, we were happy to watch the crowd of folks learning Latin dancing at the corner of Chatham and Academy streets. When we finished eating on the patio, we walked to the corner to listen to Orquesta GarDel and watch the dancers.

Among the many dancers, I was enthralled as I watched local business owners Ralph and Daphne Ashworth, never missing a beat with their feet. Gayly swinging each other about, smiling throughout this ever-so-long piece. I’m not sure if they had more fun dancing, or I had more fun watching them dance. What a wonderful example of a fun marriage, and keeping young into their senior years.

Thank you to the town of Cary for providing free and diverse culture and fun for your citizens.
