M/I Homes has completed building the Kingwood Collection of homes in the Holly Springs community of 12 Oaks.

The 48th annual Wake County Parade of Homes, which began on Oct. 5, will showcase 190 homes throughout Wake County on Oct. 11-13 and 18-20. For details, go to

GE will celebrate the grand opening of a new business office in Cary on Wednesday, Oct. 9, at GE’s Energy Management office, 2000 CentreGreen Way, suite 200.

Republic of Yoga is opening a new studio at 202 Ledgestone Way, Cary. A grand opening celebration will be Saturday, Oct. 19.

Dave & Buster’s will open in Cary Towne Center on Wednesday, Nov. 6. The location is hiring for 200 positions.

The Apex Chamber of Commerce will meet for the Apex High School Booster Club’s Homecoming Food Truck Rodeo at 5:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 11, at the Apex High School bus loop, 1501 Laura Duncan Road. A portion of proceeds will benefit Apex High School’s sports programs.

Mark Hefner was hired as the CEO of the Cary-based healthcare IT firm Infina Connect.


S&A Cherokee, a communications firm in Cary, won five Sir Walter Raleigh Awards for Excellence in Communication from the Raleigh Public Relations Society at a banquet at Raleigh’s Contemporary Art Museum on Sept. 24.


Citizens Homes will hold a food drive during the Wake County Parade of Homes from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays until Oct. 20 in the Lakestone Village neighborhood at 1301 Old Branble Lane, Fuquay-Varina.

Employees of Tipper Tie in Apex will help build homes with Habitat for Humanity in the White Oak neighborhood of Apex on Oct. 18, 19, and 26.

Supercuts Hair Salon will donate 10 percent of all sales from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, at its location at 8761 Holly Springs Road, to the American Cancer Society.
