Graham Trent Ellis was born February 23, 1977 to Howard and Carolyn Ellis in Raleigh, North Carolina. A beloved son, Trent passed away in his sleep of sleep apnea on September 4, 2013.

A baseball fan from the time of tee-ball, Trent continued to cheer on his favorite teams the Atlanta Braves and Durham Bulls, meeting one of his heroes, Chipper Jones, at a recent game in Durham. An alumni of Athens Drive High School in Raleigh, North Carolina, Trent returned to pitch for the Jaguars in the spring of 1996 after a devastating car accident in the summer of 1994, leaving him an amputee. Trent was very proud to be a third generation alumni to the Wolfpack and loved NC State athletics. Also an avid fisherman, Trent could often be seen at Lochmere Lake, Harris Lake and Bellemeade Pond fishing in his jon-boat, “The Accomplice”, waiting for a large mouth bass to strike.

Trent is survived by his mom and dad, his elder brother, Mark Ellis and his wife, Brandy of Clayton; his younger sister, Anna Abbott and her husband, A. W.; and his beloved niece, Laurel also of Clayton. Trent also leaves behind his girlfriend, Jennifer Walker of Raleigh. Trent loved his work as a financial planner and considered his clients family.
