Cary looking for Fall Litter Sweep volunteers

— The town is looking for volunteers to help pick up litter on Saturday, Oct. 5.

During the annual Fall Litter Sweep, volunteers will work in shifts from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. throughout neighborhoods, parks and public spaces.

The event is part of Big Sweep, a nonprofit that supports litter sweeps throughout North Carolina.

All volunteers for the Cary cleanup must be at least 15. Individuals and community groups can sign up. To register, or to suggest sites for cleanup, email or call 919-469-4301.
