Yakob Malik, left, and Ryan Chapman became Eagle Scouts, the highest achievement in Boy Scouting. Yacob, the son of Amer and Michele Malik, led a group to provide clothing storage for the Women's Center of Wake County. Ryan, the son of Steve and Lisa Chapman of Cary, led a group in designing and building a mail cabinet for the teachers of St. Michael the Archangel School in Cary.

Apex Historical Society members earn Preservation Award

Bill and Claire Rousseau were presented with the Apex Historical Society’s annual Preservation Award at the group’s annual ice cream social in August.

Members of the Apex Historical Society since its beginning in 1987, the pair got the award for their involvement in club activities and their 25 years of service to the organization.
