Cary Eid Festival
The sixth Cary Eid Festival will be from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the downtown Cary performance green outside the Cary Arts Center, 101 Dry Ave. Eid al-Fitr, festival of feast, marks the end of the fasting month of Ramadan, and Eid al-Adha, festival of sacrifice, marks the end of the pilgrimage to Makkah.

Jack and Jill Ran Up the Hill 5K
The Raleigh/Wake County Chapter of Jack and Jill of America will sponsor the third annual Jack and Jill Ran Up the Hill 5K and one-mile fun run at 8 a.m. at 1050 Town Hall Drive, Morrisville. The event will feature a zumba demonstration, a kids corner with a bounce house, face painting and healthy activities. The fun run is for kids 12 and younger. All proceeds will support CONCERT, an academic enrichment program for at-risk students in high-poverty schools in eastern Raleigh, and the Jack and Jill Foundation.
