Walk for Wishes event
Make-A-Wish Eastern North Carolina is hosting Walk for Wishes events to raise money to help grant wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions.

Cary Eid Festival
The sixth Cary Eid Festival will be from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, at the downtown Cary performance green outside the Cary Arts Center, 101 Dry Ave. Eid al-Fitr, festival of feast, marks the end of the fasting month of Ramadan, and Eid al-Adha, festival of sacrifice, marks the end of the pilgrimage to Makkah.
