Marriage Conference

GriefShare

GriefShare is a 13-week program for people who have lost a loved one.

•  Westwood Baptist Church will host GriefShare meetings from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesdays, Sept. 3 to Dec. 3, at 200 Westhigh St., Cary. The group will meet in room 209. For more information, call the church at 919-469-9393.

•  White Plains United Methodist Church will begin its GriefShare program from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 5, at 313 SE Maynard Road, Cary. For details, call 919-449-6392.

High Holiday services

Beth Shalom Synagogue will host High Holiday services beginning Wednesday, Sept. 4, at 2713 Yates Mill Pond Road, Raleigh. Due to construction, some services will be held at St. Francis United Methodist Church, 2965 Kildaire Farm Road, Cary. ‘Courageous’ movie screening

Salem Baptist Church will show the movie “Courageous” for free with popcorn and drinks at 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 6, at 1821 N. Salem St., Apex.

52 Week Food Drive

Brown Bag Ministry

The Brown Bag Ministry, which feeds more than 1,400 people a week, is looking for middle- and high school-age volunteers. The group meets at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church in Apex about 9 a.m. Saturdays. Volunteers prepare bagged meals and hand them out at Moore Square in Raleigh.
