Bryson Johnson, the owner and chief instructor of Johnson's Tiger-Rock Martial Arts in Cary, earned the 6th degree Master in Ho-Am TaeKwanDo during the annual Tiger-Rock World Tournament in New Orleans.

Cary Boy Scout earns Eagle rank

Andrew Savage of Cary earned the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest achievement in Boy Scouting.

For his Eagle project, Andrew formed the Eagle Takes Flight wind ensemble with fellow members of the Green Hope High School Band and held a concert of patriotic and classic songs at the Cary Senior Center.

Andrew, the son of Edward and Teresa Savage, is a member of Troop 216 in Cary and is a rising junior at Green Hope High.

Apex student to represent North Carolina in Macy’s parade

Michelle West, a senior at Middle Creek High School, will represent North Carolina in Macy’s Great American Marching Band. She will perform with the band in the 87th Annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York.
