Universal Healthcare opened a nursing, rehabilitation and assisted-living community in Fuquay-Varina on Aug. 11.

Olive Garden opened a restaurant Aug. 12 at 107 Grand Hill Place, Holly Springs.

The Umstead Hotel and Spa updated its guest rooms with energy-efficient, tablet-based lighting and temperature controls.

The Matthews House held an open house and gave away a free wedding to a bride on Aug. 17.

PRO Martial Arts opened Aug. 17 at 2004 Creekside Landing Drive, Apex.
