Kathy Davis: Not-so-green golden arches

Not-so-green golden arches

Is it just me, or did anyone else in Cary find it ironic that the new “green” McDonald’s at the corner of Meeting and Walnut streets required the destruction of numerous, very old and stately trees?

So we sacrificed Mother Nature’s air purification system for a new “environmentally friendly” symbol of rampant consumerism and corporate America?

Long live McDonald’s. Bravo for their “social responsibility” that they so proudly tout.
