Tim Sack: Good for Holly Springs

Good for Holly Springs

In reference to the news article regarding the GOP not endorsing Holly Springs Mayor Dick Sears for re-election: It is sad that after 12 years of leadership by Mayor Sears of a town that has doubled in size and prospered through good times and bad, he is not applauded and recognized.

Holly Springs has repeatedly ranked at the top as a best place to live and raise children in North Carolina and the country. Citizens don’t have to worry about water and sewer service which has been secured for them. The town has added over 150 acres of new park land and plans for more diverse access to sports and activities in the future.

All this while restructuring the town’s debt and saving millions of taxpayer dollars.

Hopefully, the voters in November will remember and support Mayor Sears, whose slogan is “If it’s good for the kids, it’s good for Holly Springs.”
