Business doings

Bell Preston View, an apartment community, will have a ribbon cutting to celebrate recent renovations from 4:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 31, at 100 Stony Court, Morrisville.

Starpath Dance Academy will celebrate its opening at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 3, at 10130 Green Level Church Road, Suite 304, Cary.

Open Arts studio will host its grand-opening celebration from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Aug. 10, at 1222 Copeland Oaks Drive, Morrisville. Fall classes will begin the last week in August. Classes will include a Mommy and Me program, yoga, musical theater, ballet, tap, jazz and modern dance. The studio will also offer several visual arts and music workshops, as well as adult yoga and art retreats.

Home Instead, Inc. will accept nominations until Saturday, Aug. 24, for the Caregiver Cruise Sweepstakes. North Carolina residents can nominate family caregivers to win a free four-night, five-day cruise. Submit nominations at cruise.caregiverstress.com.

Careers

Robin Stoehr of Cary, a Modern Woodmen of America financial representative, participated in a five-day training program at Modern Woodmen’s office in Rock Island, Ill.

Duncan Moon of Apex was hired as the general manager and communications director of Raleigh Rickshaw. He has driven for Raleigh Rickshaw for the past three and a half years and is a member of the company’s elite travel team.

Philanthropy

Two Dairy Queen restaurant locations will sell balloons to benefit Duke Children’s Hospital until Aug. 8. The eateries are at 1008 Morrisville Carpenter Road, Morrisville, and 631 Walnut St., Cary.
