Local Boy Scout earns Eagle Scout rank

Weston Goldberg of Cary became an Eagle Scout, the highest rank in Boy Scouting. For his Eagle Scout project, he built a musical hut on the children’s playground at White Plains United Methodist Church. The hut is a place for children in the church’s preschool program to play with around-the-house instruments like dustpans, pots and a fire extinguisher. Weston, a graduate of Apex High School and a member of Troop 209, is the son of Eddie and Paula Goldberg.
