Kangaroo Express celebrated the grand opening of Aunt M’s Kitchen on June 22 at 3610 Davis Drive, Morrisville. Aunt M’s Kitchen is a quick-service restaurant concept found at Kangaroo Express stores.

The spa at The Umstead Hotel and Spa officially reopened July 8 after a three-month renovation project at 100 Woodland Pond Drive, Cary.

WakeMed Health & Hospitals opened Wake Specialty Physicians – General & Bariatric Surgery at 208 Ashville Ave., Suite 14 in Cary.


The Morrisville Chamber of Commerce will hold a Knowledgeable Network of Women luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. Thursday, July 11, at Prestonwood Country Club, 300 Prestonwood Parkway, Cary. Deidre Hughey will present a lectured titled “Kick Your Stuck to the Curb! How to Thrive Through Challenge and Change.” Cost is $25 for employees of member firms and $45 for non-members.

The Apex Chamber of Commerce will hold a women’s networking luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 17, at Cambridge Village of Apex, 951 S. The Morrisville Chamber of Commerce will host the State of Morrisville event from 8 to 9:30 a.m. Thursday, July 18, at 260 Town Hall, Suite A, Morrisville. Netsertive, an online ad tech company based in Morrisville, was named the winner of a Maximum Impact Award for Best Dealer Marketing Solution at the Electronic Security Expo on June 20. The company was recognized for the impact of its Digital Extend marketing technology platform.

Modern Woodmen of America representative Daniel Polk of Cary has attained the Fraternal Insurance Counsellor designation. The FIC title is an educational designation that can be earned by career life-insurance representatives associated with fraternal insurance societies.
