Glad I dont live there
I read the article in The Cary News regarding the Cary Town Councils vote to continue a ban on string lights. I would like to point out that the quotes from council members Ed Yerha and Jennifer Robinson highlight the arrogance in the thinking and decision-making process of the Town Council.
Yerha: I didnt hate them until I saw them all over town.
Robinson: They (homeowners and people in general) may not have the skill involved to actually make them look good.
Mr. Yerhas opinion of lights dictates that an individual homeowners opinion doesnt count. Ms. Robinsons opinion of a homeowners ability to maintain their own yard dictates that the homeowner doesnt even have the option to try.
This is the arrogance of thinking that makes me very glad to NOT be a Cary resident.
