Dinner on Depot Street

The Fuquay-Varina Downtown Revitalization Association will host Dinner on Depot Street, its first major fundraising event, from 6 to 11 p.m. along Depot Street in Fuquay-Varina. Friday Night Fun

Barnes & Noble Booksellers will hold a children’s “Friday Night Fun” event at 7 p.m. at 760 S.E. Maynard Road, Cary. The event will be a tea party featuring favorite characters. Children should bring a friend.

Ice Cream Ride

N.C. Team MSFITS will hold its 14th annual MSFITS Ice Cream Ride to benefit multiple sclerosis at 8 a.m. at Biogen Idec, 5000 Davis Drive, Morrisville. The metric century ride will begin at 8 a.m., with registration at 6:45 a.m. The 30-mile ride will begin at 8:30 a.m., with registration at 8 a.m. After each ride, participants will get ice cream. Registration, which is permitted the day of the event, is $40. Proceeds will benefit the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. For details, visit www.MSFITS.org.

In addition to the two-mile walk, the event will feature booths, music, food, a jump house, face painting, henna and a raffle drawing. All proceeds will benefit the N.C. Children’s Hospital. American Tobacco Trail Anniversary

Wake County Parks, Recreation and Open Space will celebrate the 10th anniversary of the American Tobacco Trail with a program titled “On the Trail to Health” from 1 to 4 p.m. at the White Oak parking area, 1305 White Oak Church Road, Apex. County park staff and exhibitors will lead participants in several activities, including a scavenger hunt for kids, bike decorating and parade, hula hooping, golf, yoga, games and crafts.
