Police accuse Cary man of sending child-porn videos to detective

— Police charged Wednesday that Timothy Edmon Jones sent five child pornography videos to a detective over the Internet.

In arrest warrants, police said that Jones, 25, of 1024 Nottingham Court sent the video files to Detective Kevin West on May 10.

West specializes in Internet child abuse and works with Triangle-area police departments on those issues.

The warrants allege five counts of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor and describe the videos.

Jones was held Thursday in lieu of $100,000 bail pending a court appearance.
