• At about 6 a.m. Feb. 17, an unknown person smashed through the 900 N.E. Maynard Road store’s glass and stole a six-pack of Twisted Tea, an alcoholic iced tea valued at $6.99. Later that day, a man stole $47 worth of Basic Menthols from the Food Lion store at 980 Kildaire Farm Road.
• Hendrick Dodge of Cary received word on about Feb. 12 that a $50,000 car missing from its lot had been spotted in Pennsylvania. A state trooper there called the dealership after spotting the 2013 Dodge Charger SRT 8 in the possession of a suspicious-acting man, according to Cary police reports. The man sped away as the trooper looked up the vehicle and hadn’t been found as of Feb. 18, police reports state. The dealership believes the car was stolen between Jan. 31 and Feb. 12, according to police reports.
• Cary police charged Aaron and Shawn Womack with felonious marijuana possession on Feb. 14 following a traffic stop on Cary Parkway. Shawn Womack, 23, of 61 Warm Springs Ave.. in Martinsburg, W.Va., is accused of felonious possession of marijuana with intent to sell or distribute. Aaron Lee Womack, of the same address, is charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver, maintaining a vehicle for drug-selling purposes, and resistance, delay or obstruction of a police officer.
• Cary police received reports of forcible-entry burglaries at the following locations between Feb. 11 and Feb. 17: the 100 block of Darlena Court; the 2600 block of Ridgemont Hill Road; the 100 block of Callan Park Lane; the 900 block of N.E. Maynard Road.
