Monkey Joe’s in Cary will celebrate its nationwide birthday Monday, Feb. 18. The all-day event will serve as a customer-appreciation day and will include giveaways, community activities and a special birthday party celebration. Monkey Joe’s is at 1747 Walnut St.

Rock Harbor Grill opened on Jan. 31 at 121 N. Salem St., in the building formerly occupied by Orabosa’s Hideaway, in Apex. Rock Harbor Grill is owned by David Vance and is a seafood restaurant that also features chicken, certified Angus beef steaks, duck and vegetarian dishes.

Southern Charm Gift Boutique moved to a smaller location on Jan. 1 next to Rack Room Shoes in the Dillard’s wing at the Cary Towne Center. The boutique sells handcrafted gifts made by local artists and now offers art classes, birthday parties and free art demonstrations. Fine artists Allen Montague, Grace Wang and Gina Boyle of Artfully Outloud have recently joined Southern Charm.

MMI Public Relations in Cary has promoted Jake Potter from account executive to senior account executive.

Cambria Suites Raleigh-Durham Airport in Morrisville has been named the third best U.S. airport hotel, according to a survey done by TripAdvisor. The list is based upon the most highly rated hotels according to the TripAdvisor Popularity Index within a two-mile radius of major U.S. airports.

Sarah Ferguson, MPT, CMP and Melanie Humphries, MPT, CMP of Village Physical Therapy of Holly Springs completed advanced training and certification of the Mulligan concept on Jan. 11.

Philanthropy

The Cary Women’s Giving Network will hold its inaugural grants awards luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 21, at the Matthews House in downtown Cary. The event will celebrate CORRAL Riding Academy, the Carying Place and Dorcas Ministries. Tickets are $25 and must be purchased by Monday, Feb. 18.
