Cary nurse serves at N.C. General Assembly
On behalf of the North Carolina Nurses Association, Stephen Badoo BSN, RN, of Cary, served as Nurse of the Day at the N.C. General Assembly on Feb. 6. Badoo, a Critical RN at Duke University in Durham, provided services such as taking vital signs, helping a staff understand her electric breast pump, checking blood pressures and dispensing over-the-counter drugs for headache, upset stomach, allergies to legislators and legislative staff members at the state legislature.
Cary Boy Scout awarded Eagle Scout rank
Christopher Donnald of Cary was awarded the Boy Scouts of America’s highest rank of Eagle Scout during a Court of Honor ceremony on Dec. 22. For his Eagle Scout project, Donnald led a group of scouts and adults in mapping the Mount Pisgah Baptist Church cemetery in Apex. Information from the headstones was photographed and recorded. The data and images were then uploaded to the website, Names in Stone, a public database which will assist family and community members in locating their loved ones in the cemetery.
Donnald is the son of Edward and Katherine Donnald and is a member of Boy Scout Troop 216. He plans to graduate from Northwood High School in June and attend Clemson University to study engineering.
