Two fifth graders at Alston Ridge Elementary in Cary created two of the top ten "Urban Water Cycle" posters in the annual conservation contest sponsored by Wake Soil & Water Conservation District and Novozymes Nature's GREEN-RELEAF Composting. Mary Angelli Flores, left, and classmate Sophie Cserey, right, proudly hold their blue ribbon posters with their teacher, Noelle Murdy. Flores' poster captured the District title, a $100 cash prize and will represent Wake County at the Area 4 Poster competition between 11 counties.
