Raleigh Drum Circle

Heartbeats Jam, a community drum circle, will meet from 3 to 4:30 p.m. every fourth Sunday at Gifts with a Heart in the Swift Creek shopping center, 2867 Jones Franklin Road. National Charity League

• The National Charity League, Inc., Carolina Lily Chapter, will meet at 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 28, at the Page-Walker Arts and History Center in Cary. Members will be collecting toiletry items to donate to Brown Bag Ministries.

The National Charity League fosters mother-daughter relationships in philanthropy. The Carolina Lily chapter is based in Cary, with members from the Cary, Morrisville and Apex areas. It is recruiting mother and daughter memberships for girls in grades seven to 12. For information, visit www.nclcarolinalily.org.

• The National Charity League, Inc. Carolina Lily Chapter was honored by the Ronald McDonald House of Chapel Hill for “Outstanding Continuous Support” and presented with the House Foundation Award on Dec. 1.

Screenline

Cary MacGregor Rotary Club

The Cary MacGregor Rotary Club and Life Experiences will hold its “Fat Tuesday” Mardi Gras fundraiser at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12, at the Atrium, 11000 Regency Parkway, Cary. Carolina Veterans Support Group

The Carolina Veterans Support Group meets the last Wednesday of every month at 6:30 p.m. at Cary American Legion and Auxiliary Post 67, 8523 Chapel Hill Road, Cary. The organization raises awareness and solutions to homeless veterans.

Page Burners Writers Group

Cary Cross Trailers Square Dance Club

The Cary Cross Trailers Square Dance Club will hold an open house at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 31, at First United Methodist Church of Cary, 117 S. Academy St. The events will introduce modern western square dancing to participants. In February, the club will hold a 12-week series of classes covering the basics of square dancing.
