Everywhere a sign

In a city – Cary – that is still called a town, there is a recognition of the impact commercial signage can have on the look and nature of the town.

Now comes the move by the town, with publicly sanctioned signs to aid drivers/pedestrians who make their way around. Thus in volume, if not in size, the town is about to put up more signs than the businesses.

Makes you wonder, and wander back to the song made popular in 1970 by the Five Man Electrical Band.

The song’s name? “Signs.”

H.T. Harrison Jr.
