Also on Dec. 11, Cary swept the boys’ and girls’ swim meets against Holly Springs and Middle Creek.

Cary’s boys, with 151 points, were led by two-time winners Brandon Ress and Tosh Kawaguchi. Holly Springs (79) was second and Middle Creek (56) was third.

The Cary girls (142) won thanks to double wins in the 100 butterfly and 500 freestyle by Megan Owens, while Middle Creek (96) and Holly Springs (65) rounded out the meet.

On Thursday, Green Hope’s girls scored 192 points to win a quad-meet with Leesville Road (126), Sanderson (98) and Millbrook (96). Shannon Scovel won the 200 and 500 freestyle, while Hannah Moore took first in the 50 and 100 freestyle.
