CARY - An unidentified man forced his way into an Office Depot and robbed the store at gunpoint before it opened Monday morning, according to police reports.

The armed robbery occurred in the Crossroads shopping area at 2011 Walnut St., where two employees were present at the time, reports state. A man with a silver revolver escaped with an undisclosed amount of money from the store at about 7 a.m., according to reports.

No one was injured.

Witness statements provided an incomplete picture of the man, who is reported to have worn a grey hooded sweatshirt. The black male stood about 5 feet, 6 inches with a small build, reports state.

Police could not yet describe his pants, shoes or hairstyle. Investigators are unsure whether he left on foot or by vehicle. Several Cary detectives and Wake County investigators are working the case.
