Buckle Up Child Car Safety Check Session
In collaboration with Wake County Human Services, a child car seat safety check session will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 17, at the Eva Perry Regional Library, 2100 Shepherd’s Vineyard Drive, Apex. The safety checks will be offered on a first come/first serve basis. Look for the orange cones in the library’s parking lot where nationally-certified child passenger safety seat technicians will provide guidance and suggestions on the proper use of child car seats.
A guys’ night sponsored by local businesses will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 20, at the Garden Hut, 1004 Honeycutt Road, Fuquay-Varina. Local Artists Needed for Cary’s 2013 Spring Daze
Artist applications are now being accepted for the town of Cary’s 20th annual Spring Daze Arts and Crafts Festival, to be held April 27 at Fred G. Bond Metro Park, 801 High House Road. About 80 percent of exhibiting artists are from Wake County and admission preference is given to Cary citizens; all artists must be North Carolina residents. Call for Artists
The Cary Gallery of Artists is currently seeking artists for its fifth annual Small Treasures Juried Exhibit to be held March 28 to April 19 at 200 S. Academy St., Cary. The exhibit will feature small works of art by North Carolina artists. Nancy Tuttle May will be the juror and there will be over $700 in cash awards. Entry and fee deadline is Friday, March 8, 2013.
