APEX Police were looking last week for a man who robbed an elderly couple in their home shortly after noon Thursday.
The robbery, at 306 Olive St., took place when Mildred Perry, 84, arrived home from the store with groceries and was approached by the man wielding a knife, according to police.
The man forced Perry into her home, where her husband, Ronald, 86, was at the time. Perry gave the man money, and he ran away. Neither of the Perrys was injured.
Police described the suspect as a black man, standing about 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall, with shaved or close-cut hair. He has a slim build and was last seen dressed completely in black and wearing a bandana over his face.
Police ask anyone with information to call the Apex Police Department at 919-362-8661, or text an anonymous tip to TIP411 using keyword APEXPD.
