Buddy SportsHolly SpringsBuddy Sports is a program for special needs children ages 5-13 with varying levels of ability. Sports include: soccer, T-ball, basketball, gymnastics and tennis. Classes meet for an hour on Saturday mornings, usually at the W.E. Hunt Recreation Center.
Fees are $20 for residents and $30 for nonresidents. Roles for volunteers of any age include assisting instructors or working with class participants. Contact Jon Allen at 919-567-4728.
LacrosseSouth Wake All-SportsEvery Monday through Dec. 17, the South Wake Lacrosse Park will hold an open play series for children in fourth grade and older and adults who want to compete in the sport of the day, which will include flag football, touch rugby, home run derby wiffle ball, ultimate Frisbee and more. TennisCary Adult Organized PlayThe Cary Tennis Park maintains an interest board. If you would like to play but do not have an opponent, stop by the Cary Tennis Park office and add your name to the board to find out about other players who are looking for matches.
