Buddy Sports

Holly Springs

Buddy Sports is a program for special needs children ages 5-13 with varying levels of ability. Sports include: soccer, T-ball, basketball, gymnastics and tennis. Classes meet for an hour on Saturday mornings, usually at the W.E. Hunt Recreation Center.

Fees are $20 for residents and $30 for nonresidents. Roles for volunteers of any age include assisting instructors or working with class participants. Contact Jon Allen at 919-567-4728.

Lacrosse

South Wake All-Sports

Every Monday through Dec. 17, the South Wake Lacrosse Park will hold an open play series for children in fourth grade and older and adults who want to compete in the “sport of the day,” which will include flag football, touch rugby, home run derby wiffle ball, ultimate Frisbee and more. South Wake Lacrosse-Fit

The South Wake Lacrosse-Fit program is for children ages 10 and older and adults in search of an affordable and structured program for speed and agility as well as an increase in cardiovascular endurance, flexibility, durability and full body strength. Youth Lacrosse System Winter Lacrosse

Boys in third through eighth grade who are interested in playing lacrosse in the winter can sign up for the Polar YLS Camps or the YLS Frozen Fingers League held at South Wake Lacrosse Park. To register, visit www.YLSLacrosse.com.

Tennis

Cary Adult Organized Play

The Cary Tennis Park maintains an interest board. If you would like to play but do not have an opponent, stop by the Cary Tennis Park office and add your name to the board to find out about other players who are looking for matches.
