Praise for veterans’ event

My wife and I had a wonderful time attending the annual veterans’ luncheon at the Herbert C. Young Community Center in Cary on Nov. 9.

As a veteran of World War II, this was truly an outstanding event. The patriotic program was well-received by at least 800 attendees.

We especially appreciated the Cary Christian School concert choir and the Cary Town Band. The food was excellent, and the servers did a great job bringing out the meal. The entire program was well planned. We praise all of those who participated in the event.

The Cary Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources Department deserves a big standing ovation for its extremely hard work.
