Patsy Louise Kinser passed away peacefully on Friday, October 26, 2012 at her home in Cary, NC after courageously battling cancer. She was an inspiration to all for the determined spirit which she exhibited in battling a very aggressive cancer. Full of purpose, she never gave up or lost her resolve.

She is survived by her husband, Michael; daughter, Kara Nicole and her husband Mr. Tripper Mansfield III; and sons, Michael Shawn, Christopher Ryan, and Matthew James. She is also survived by her six grandchildren; her parents Mr. William Black and Mrs. Aurelia (Murray) Black; and brothers Michael and Ronald.

She was born in Huntington, West Virginia on May 7, 1952, and lived in Hampton, Virginia where she met her future husband while attending Kecoughtan High School. They were married in 1971 and raised their four children together.

A homemaker, she was devoted to her family and friends and the children that she provided daycare for. Her bright blue eyes and ready smile would light up a room and she easily made many close lifelong friends. Her passions were her family, friends and babies. She loved to travel, and especially enjoyed tropical beaches. She will be fondly remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and a friend to all who knew her.

At the end, she was surrounded by family and friends in a room filled with roses and the prayers and tears of loved ones. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the staff at UNC Hospital, Rex Homecare, and Hospice of Wake County for the compassionate care they provided to Patsy.

A memorial service is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. Saturday, November 17, 2012 at Pleasant Grove Church, 1528 Davis Drive, in Cary. Reverend Dr. Classy Preston will preside. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that contributions be made to the Michelle Morrell Cancer Fund at
