• N.C. Central University will hold an educational fair for Hispanic middle and high school students and their parents at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, in the Alfonso Elder Student Union. Apex High School Marching Band to hold carnival and silent auctionThe Apex High School Marching Band will hold a carnival and silent auction fundraiser from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, at the high school. There will be games, inflatables, food, a raffle and a performance by the marching band. Tickets are $12 for students at the door and $10 for students in advance. Cary student receives white coat at medical school Austin Skakle of Cary received his white coat at the White Coat Ceremony held on Sept. 29 at Lincoln Memorial University-DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine in Harrogate, Tenn.
Skakle is a first-year osteopathic medical student at LMU-DCOM. The White Coat Ceremony is a special ceremony designed to mark a students entrance into medical school.
