Suicide can be preventedTeen suicide it is a very serious problem that needs a lot of attention. The newspapers and news channels should try to make it a main topic more often.
People need to know that this isnt an insignificant topic; everyone has to do their part to prevent it. Many people have lost a loved one to teen suicide. It could have been a brother, a sister, a cousin, or even a best friend.
I am glad there are organizations out there specifically focusing on suicide. Some people just need a safe environment where they can express themselves, and that is exactly what these organizations provide.
I understand how sometimes teenagers feel extremely stressed and try to push themselves to live up to their own, and sometimes others, expectations. A lot of stress can just make a person feel down and alone. Sometimes bullying can even be a contributing factor.
We teenagers tend to focus on the now, and not the future. We believe that the problems we have now will never go away and we will always be facing that one problem; however, that is certainly not the case. People need to know this can be prevented and Im glad the news is starting to raise awareness.
