As part of the Day in Downtown Festival, the 10th annual Downtown Chili Cook-Off will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in historic downtown Fuquay-Varina. There will be a first place prize of $500, a second place prize of $300 and a third place prize of $150. All chili entries can be tasted for $5. The town of Morrisvilles Spook-tacular Haunted Trail will be from 6 to 10 p.m. at Morrisville Community Park. The early portion of the evening will feature a family friendly trail with mild scares from 6 to 8 p.m. From 8 to 10 p.m., the trail will become spookier and will be for adults and children ages 10 and older. The line will stop forming at 9:30 p.m.
