Concert Event

Let’s Talk Seniors

Yoga Class

Fall for the Arts Festival

Downtown Fuquay-Varina will hold a family-friendly festival showcasing local artists and musicians titled, “Fall for the Arts” from noon to 5 p.m. on Raleigh and Broad streets. Art Reception

The Western Wake Artists’ Studio Tour Preview Exhibition opening reception will be from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Halle Cultural Arts Center in Apex. The exhibit will run until Oct. 26 and offers a preview of works that will be shown by artists who will participate in the fourth annual Western Wake Artists’ Studio Tour in November. Cat Rabies Clinic

The town of Cary will host its first-ever cat rabies clinic from 9 a.m. to noon at Cat Angels Pet Adoptions, 959 N. Harrison Ave. Fee is $5 per cat, cash only; there will be an opportunity to also have your pet micro-chipped for an additional $18. Shred-a-thon

The Apex Police and Shred It will sponsor a free shred-a-thon from 9 a.m. to noon at the Apex Police Department, 73 Hunter St. Staples and paper clips do not need to be removed from documents.

Health Fair

Preston Medical Associates of Cary will hold it’s annual health fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 3600 N.W. Cary Parkway. There will be health specialists, flu shots for a fee and a mobile mammography unit.

NephCure Walk

The Raleigh/Durham NephCure Walk will be at 10 a.m. at Fred G. Bond Park in Cary. Registration begins at 9 a.m. There will be food, games, arts and crafts, a raffle, music and a Zumba warm-up. The NephCure Foundation is an organization dedicated to supporting research to find the cause of Nephrotic Syndrome and FSGS, improve treatment and find a cure. Harry Potter Halloween Party

A Harry Potter Halloween Party will be at 7 p.m. at Barnes & Noble Booksellers, 760 S.E. Maynard Road, Cary. There will be activities, prizes and games. Come dressed as your favorite Harry Potter character.
