Anniversary

Westwood Baptist Church will celebrate its 20th anniversary at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 23, at 200 Westhigh St., Cary. Charles Allard, pastor emeritus, will speak. Dinner on the grounds will follow the service.

Christian Library International Author Dinner

The 10th annual Christian Library International Author Dinner will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 2, at Embassy Suites, 201 Harrison Oaks Blvd., Cary. Author Carol Kent will speak. Concerts

The Saint Francis Brass Band will hold a benefit for the Wake Interfaith Hospitality Network at 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 7, in the sanctuary of Saint Francis United Methodist Church, 2965 Kildaire Farm Road, Cary. Festival

Food ministry

Fundraiser

Good Shepherd United Church of Christ will hold a harvest feast dinner and “Friendraiser” event beginning at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, September 29, at 1050 N.W. Maynard Road, Cary. Dinner will begin at 6 p.m. Dinner will include turkey, dressing, potatoes with gravy, cranberry sauce, apple crisp and a drink. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for ages three to 10, and free for children under three. Tickets must be purchased in advance. There will also be a marketplace and silent auction.
