The RailHawks’ next game just got a little more interesting.
Carolina fell 1-0 to the host Fort Lauderdale Strikers on Saturday, dropping the team’s lead in the final North American Soccer League playoff spot to just four points.
Trailing Carolina (6-7-7) is FC Edmonton (5-10-6), who will pay visit to WakeMed Soccer Stadium on Saturday.
The RailHawks are now 1-2-2 in their last five matches.
Fort Lauderdale’s Andy Herron scored the game’s only goal in the 64th minute, beating goalkeeper Ray Burse. The Strikers out-shot Carolina 21-4 during the game. Burse had five saves.
