Apex Post 124 falls in state tournament
Apex Post 124 was eliminated from the state tournament in Lenoir on Thursday. Apex lost 4-3 in the first round on a walk-off home run, then lost 6-1 to Randolph County in an elimination game.

Apex Post 124 was eliminated from the American Senior Legion state tournament in Lenoir on Thursday. Apex lost 4-3 in the first round on a walk-off home run, then lost 6-1 to Randolph County in an elimination game.

It was the program's first appearance in the state tournament in 16 years of existence. This year's group, coached by Tim Harrell, was comprised of players from Holly Springs, Panther Creek and Apex high schools.
