The West Raleigh 8U Blue All-Star team, led by head coach Lance Wheeler, won the 2012 Cal Ripken Southeast Regional on July 15. The team went 4-0 in pool play in the tournament, which was hosted in Andalusia, Ala. This year's players are: Logan Govan, Luke Hayes, Charley Hegeman, Isaac Holmes, Jackson Liles, Chris Moon, Ben Penchuk, Lukas Schramm, Ian Turner, Kaden Varela, Mike Venditti, Lawson Wheeler, and Riley Whittenberg. Assistant coaches include: Dave Hayes, Brandon Liles, Brandon Schramm, and Cailean Turner.
