MORRISVILLE - A bicyclist was hospitalized after a bus struck him on Town Hall Drive Tuesday afternoon.

The collision occurred near Jeremiah Street shortly after 1:30 p.m. with 14 passengers on the Town of Morrisville recreation bus.

Bicyclist Greg Oliver was conscious when transported from the scene according to Town of Morrisville spokeswoman Stephanie Smith. He suffered bruised ribs and lacerations, and is expected to be released from the hospital in a few days. His injuries are not life-threatening, Smith said.

The incident is being investigated as an accident.

No one on the bus was injured.
