Yoga Class

The West Regional Library holds a yoga class that meets on the second and last Friday of the month at 10:15 a.m. at 4000 Louis Stephens Drive, Cary. Bringing a mat or towel is suggested. For information, call 919-463-8500.

Sunset Canoe Trip

A sunset canoe tour will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Lake Crabtree, 1400 Aviation Parkway, Morrisville. Learn basic paddling techniques, look for birds and other wildlife along the shore. Meet at the boat rental building. Fees are $5 per person or $10 per canoe (maximum two adults and one child per canoe). For details, call 919-460-3390.

Friday Fun

Barnes & Noble Booksellers will hold Friday Fun at 7 p.m. at 760 S.E. Maynard Road, Cary. There will be a storytime and activity featuring the book, “The Very Fairy Princess” by Julie Andrews.

Morrisville Movies in the Park

The Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources Department will hold Movies in the Park at 8:30 p.m. at Morrisville Community Park, 1520 Morrisville Parkway. The movie, “Father of the Bride” will be shown. Bring a chair or blanket and snacks. For details, call 919-463-7101.

Improv Comedy Workshop

Ballroom Alive

The Cary Arthur Murray Studio will showcase the many styles of traditional ballroom dance with an open-air exhibition called “Ballroom Alive” at 7 p.m. at the corner of Kildaire Farm Road and Academy Street in downtown Cary.
