Douglas Fairbanks Holleman, 91, of Cary, died Saturday, May 19, 2012. Mr. Holleman was born is Wake County, NC to Carter Wesley Holleman and Lenna Matthews Holleman on August 19, 1920. He graduated from Cary High School and was employed with Southern Bell.

He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Frances Harrington Holleman; daughters: Pat Holding and husband Frank, Elaine Berry and husband Ray; son: Steve Holleman, all of Cary; grandchildren: Scott and Brent Holding, Matt and Brandon Berry, and Erika Holleman Osterday; Great Grandchildren: Cole and Luke Holding, Will, Sam, Ava Grace Holding, Emily and Natalie Berry, Taylor and Kinsey Berry, and Sloan Osterday; sister Mary Lou Mock and husband, Bernie.

Mr. Holleman is predeceased by his parents, Carter and Lenna Holleman, brothers: Carlos and Jack Holleman; sisters: Mildred Sandford, Martha Rose Pleasants and Jean Holleman.

The family received friends from 1:00 PM to 3:00 pm Tuesday May 22, 2012 at First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall, Cary. A funeral service was held at 3:00 pm Tuesday, May 22, 2012 in the church sanctuary. Burial will follow in Montlawn Memorial Park, Raleigh.
