Crazy intersection

The engineer who designed the intersection at Carpenter Upchurch Road and Morrisville Parkway certainly doesn’t deserve any kind of honor or bonus.

This dumb intersection forces us to drive east 250 yards to make a dangerous U-turn and then back to N.C. 55 to Durham.

I have seen some fools drive on the railroad tracks to make a left turn or to cross over the parkway to go south on Carpenter Upchurch.

Wouldn’t it have been so much simpler to have built a small, one-way roundabout?

I have never seen such a crazy intersection in all of the United States, and I hope I never see another.

James Sansom
