Baseball Exhibit

The exhibit “Pride and Passion: The African American Baseball Experience” will be at the Holly Springs Community Library, 300 W. Ballentine St., through June 2. The national traveling exhibition chronicles the history of baseball’s African American leagues and the challenges and successes of the baseball players. Inventory of Cary’s Historic Properties

The Friends of the Page-Walker Hotel present their annual inventory of Cary’s historic properties, entitled “What Have We Got to Lose?” at 7:30 p.m. at the Page-Walker Arts & History Center, 119 Ambassador Loop. The slideshow tour showcases properties in Cary’s three historic districts, as well as structures and neighborhoods that are identified as priorities in the town’s historic resources survey that is currently underway. Someone Special Like Me 5k

Someone Special Like Me will hold its first annual 5K and Family Fun Day beginning with the 100-yard Kid’s Dash at 8 a.m. at Wake Med Soccer Park in Cary. The 5K and Michael David All Out 5K Omega Sports Trophy Run for high school runners will begin at 8:30 a.m. After the race, there will be a family fun day with food, music, games, activities, a vendor expo, silent auction and more.
