Community Meeting

The Morrisville Police Department will hold an outreach meeting to the Indian community at 6:30 p.m. at the Morrisville Town Hall. Staff will present crime statistics and provide information on how to handle difficult situations such as a break-in, robbery, traffic stop or any other safety or crime situation there may be a question about. The concept of the meeting evolved from a desire to improve services by discussing possible language and cultural barriers in order to provide an opportunity for open communication and to increase the protection of citizens.

Small Business Program

A program called “How to Start and Stay in Business” will be at 7 p.m. at the Eva Perry Regional Library in Apex. Larry Bradbury will offer need-to-know info for prospective entrepreneurs, including business plans, legal considerations, financing, marketing and more. To register, call 919-387-2100.

Rally for the Cure Golf Tournament

The seventh annual Rally for the Cure charity golf tournament will begin at 8 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. at Lochmere Golf Club, 2511 Kildaire Farm Road, Cary. AM Group registration and breakfast will be at 6:30 a.m. PM Group registration and lunch will be at 11:30 a.m. Cost is $95 per player and includes all golf fees, goody bag, food all day and on course contests. Run Walk & Roll

The fourth annual Run Walk & Roll will be from 8 a.m. to noon at Koka Booth Amphitheatre in Cary. There will be a community expo, music, entertainment, children’s activities, food and raffle prizes.
