Egg hunts and seasonal fun abound in Cary, Fuquay-Varina and Holly Springs

Here is a list of local town events this weekend to celebrate Easter:

Breakfast with the bunny

Before heading out to the town of Cary’s annual Easter egg hunt, enjoy a continental breakfast hosted by the Cary Teen Council from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Saturday, March 31, at the Kiwanis Shelter in Bond Park. Muffins, donuts, fresh fruit and more will be served. The Easter bunny will be available for pictures and videos. Tickets are $4 for ages 10 and older, $3 for ages 3-9 and free for ages two and younger. Tickets must be purchased before the event. For details, call 919-460-4965.

Cary Easter egg hunt

The town of Cary will hold its annual Easter egg hunt at 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Saturday, March 31, at Bond Park. The egg hunt will feature three hunt areas, each for a different age group. There will also be food and entertainment. For information, call 919-469-4100.

Fuquay-Varina candy hop

Downtown Fuquay-Varina will hold a Candy Hop from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 31, on Main and Broad Streets. Children will visit shops to obtain candy. Bring a basket. For details, visit www.Fuquay-VarinaDowntown.com.

Fuquay-Varina Easter egg hunt

The town of Fuquay-Varina will hold an Easter egg hunt at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 31, at South Park. There will be candy- and toy-filled eggs, the Easter bunny and prizes. Bring your own basket. For details, visit www.fuquay-varina

Holly Springs spring fling

The town of Holly Springs will hold its annual community yard sale and egg hunt from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, March 31, at Womble Park. For information, contact the W.E. Hunt Recreation Center at 919-557-9600.
