BUSINESS DOINGS

Allstate Insurance Company has opened a new office at 400 Pinner Weald Way, Suite 101, Cary. Hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Cary nonprofit organization, COPE Eldercare, will launch WakeNET Village on Tuesday, March 27. WakeNET Village is a community-based membership organization that will provide a network of discounted, vetted services and social engagement opportunities to older adults.

HYATT house Raleigh Durham Airport, located at 10962 Chapel Hill Road in Morrisville, launched its 53 Days of Housewarming initiative, a celebration designed to make its guests feel more like residents, on March 12.

Elaine Buxton, president and CEO of Confero, Inc., a national customer experience measurement firm based in Cary, will be featured in the 2012 Woman’s Advantage Shared Wisdom Calendar for the fifth consecutive year.

The N.C. Department of Environment and Natural Resources recognized John Deere Turf Care in Fuquay-Varina as a 2011 Environmental Steward on March 15.

Railinc CEO and president Allen West was recognized as a supply chain executive “Pro to Know” by Supply & Demand Chain Executive magazine.

PHILANTHROPY

DPR Construction in Morrisville presented a $60,000 grant to the John Avery Boys & Girls Club of Durham on March 12.
